Well I fell into Photography just by luck. An Ex girlfriends father had a camera and I thought it was a good gadget, and I wanted one! I set about buying one, so one day I went into a shop called ‘Link camera and video’ (the shop on longer is open) and ask the sale assistant (Ian) about buying a camera. The sales assistant kept going on about this camera he wanted me to buy. I was put off by this, and went to another shop and paid my cash.

So paid for this camera, I decided to go to college in the evening to get some sort of understanding. Once I was in the darkroom it blew my mind, big time. After that short course, I was well and truly hooked, and did another course. And another, and a few more too boot.

In the meantime I kept going back to ‘Link camera and video’ and asking ‘how do I …..’ without buying anything Oops! One day I asked the manager would he like to look at my portfolio? After all I had been coming into his shop and NOT buying anything. After a few page’s he asked Ian to come over and look. Well he was so impressed he asked me to go to his home and critic his & wife work!

Wow!!

So from there I do graphic design, and web design with my photography mixed in.

Ian, Karin Stowe BA Hons MA PGCE-FE (www.munen-mushin.com) and others have helped me in my photography, without them I could not do what I have already done. I like Bob Carlos Clark (R.I.P.) & Robert Capa (R.I.P.) influence my work and, as there no longer here, their work and personality / individuality still carry on to this day.

I don’t see, what you see! Other words I see my work all the time, and I cant see what you see. Sorry sounds mad, but true.
